What are Photo Cards?

 
   I looked at various pictures of my family, friends, and I was wondering how these fascinating images had been obtained. There are lots of card types. It is interesting to know how and when photo cards occurred. There are some pictures taken with your camcorder or camera. They are different, of course. It may be a wedding, a birthday, traveling photos or other amazing events. They are made for memory. They are dear for everybody. Photo card has a long and rich history. It started when a man invented the first camera-obscura. What is it? This is a type of device that allows you to receive an optical image of objects. But how is it happening? This device is a box with a hole in one wall and a screen (ground glass or a thin white paper) on the opposite wall. Thus, light rays pass through this hole with a diameter of 0,5-5 mm. They create an inverted image on the screen. And thanks to this camera other cameras were invented. A person who proved that the silver salt made a dark stream of light was Johann Heinrich Schulze, the famous physicist, a mathematician. He also spent several experiments in which he was able to get photographic prints on silvered chalk. But a very first photograph was Nicéphore Niepce; a snapshot "views" were made by him. And these pictures could be saved to our days and went into the history of photography as the first photo. But many scientists had been working hard to show a series of experiments. And it was in 1839 when the term “picture” appeared. This term was used by two well-known astronomers. They are William Herschel and Johann Heinrich von Mädler. And until now we use the term "picture" when making images, many types of them.
